Outpatient Counseling and Therapy for Children, Young Adults, and Families

Beth Israel Lahey Health Behavioral Services provides outpatient counseling and therapy services for children and young adults struggling with their mental, emotional or behavioral health.

We help children, their families and caregivers find short-term to long-term strategies to address concerns such as anxiety, depression, aggression, defiant behavior, trauma, troubles in school and family events such as divorce or death. Medication-assisted treatment is available as part of therapy services when appropriate.

Our outpatient clinics provide comprehensive behavioral health care in a professional and family-friendly environment. We can also offer services for children and families at home or through school-based programs.

School-Based / Student Assistance Programs

The Student Assistance Program (SAP) provides support to children, families and school personnel through school-based interventions. We help students overcome barriers to learning due to social or emotional challenges or substance use
