Senior Adult Unit at Addison Gilbert Hospital

Addison Gilbert Hospital’s Senior Adult Unit is a NICHE-designated (Nurses Improving Care for Healthsystem Elders) psychiatric unit which provides multidisciplinary care to seniors with acute psychiatric symptoms and/or substance use disorders and sub-acute medical problems. There is also an ECT service.

Clinical staff works closely with family members to identify problems, offer support and plan for appropriate aftercare. An appropriate mix of therapy, exercise, educational, and social groups allows patients to have a balanced group experience.
